Splash

Splash
Splash was the first horse adopted from our facility in 2015.

Ben

Ben
Ben has been fostered out for several months and was recently adopted by his foster family!

April

April
April was surrendered by her previous owner. She is a Belgian-Quarter Horse cross who was trained English but also rides Western. She is a bit headstrong and side reins only, so she needs an experienced and patient rider. April is a dark bay with a black mane and tail and a white snippet on her forehead. This beautiful mare was adopted in March 2015 along with her herd-mate Phoenix.

Phoenix

Phoenix
Phoenix is a grey and brown paint/appaloosa mix with a white mane and tail. A 25 year old mare, she was surrendered by her former owner and rides Western. As a former barrel racer, Phoenix loves speed! Phoenix traveled to her permanent home with April in March of 2015.

Scooby

Scooby
Scooby is a gelding from the Owls Head herd. He came to A Little Bit of Heaven with no name, and earned his moniker because he's a food hound who loves his snacks. Scooby is a chestnut with a red mane and tale. His age and breed are unknown. Scooby was adopted by one of our dedicated volunteers and is currently boarded at our facility.

Honey

Honey
Honey is a friendly palomino mare who came to A Little Bit of Heaven with the Owls Head herd.

Diablo

Diablo
Diablo, or "Dee" as he is affectionately called, was one of the first horses adopted from our facility, back in the fall of 2014. An eye-catching blue roan, he came to us as an untrained youngster and formed a close bond with one of our volunteers. She and her husband eventually adopted him, and Dee now lives in St. Regis Falls.

Misty

Misty
Misty is another member of the Syracuse herd who came with no name or information. She is a small appaloosa mare whose age is estimated to be around 18 years. Misty is very friendly and seeks us out as soon as she sees us!

Grace

Grace
Grace is a gentle appaloosa mare who arrived with the Syracuse herd. She came to us with no name or background information, and was named by the LBH community as a result of our naming contest! She is fully blind in one eye and is losing sight in the other. Amazingly, she used to act as a guide for Hope, another mare who was completely blind. Grace has a sweet and likable personality and just craves attention. She was recently adopted by a gentleman who is looking forward to helping her rediscover a full life in spite of her disability!

Ace of Spades

Ace
Ace is a dark bay gelding with black socks who leads the Owls Head herd. He was named by LBH staff because of his sharp appearance and leadership. He sticks close to Smoke and will follow the older gelding anywhere. Ace is the biggest gelding of the Owls Head herd, and is very approachable and friendly, but has not yet been haltered. His mane and tail boast reddish tints, and his age is unknown. Sponsor Ace

Dusty

Dusty
Dusty is a stud who came in with the Owls Head herd, and will be gelded this spring prior to being put up for adoption. His age and breed are unknown but he has dark bay coloring and a black mane and tail, with a small white chircle under his forelock.Sponsor Dusty

Help Us Help Them

If you are interested in helping our horses directly, consider sponsorship, fostering, or even adopting!

Sponsor a Horse All of your donations directly benefit our rescue horses - from covering the cost of feed, medical care, and training, to offsetting operational expenses. It costs about $100 per day to care for one of our horses. You can help by becoming a sponsor! Many people sponsor horses on a recurring monthly basis, but one-time sponsorships are also welcome!

Foster a Horse If you have the space, time and money to temporarily care for a horse please consider fostering! By fostering a horse you assume responsibility for its care but are not committed to keeping it. Even providing a foster home for a short time saves funds and provides an open spot for another horse in need.

Adopt a Horse Most of the horses at A Little Bit of Heaven are available for adoption. If you are interested in adopting one of our horses please contact us for further details!
